The CCIFM attending the Monthly Meeting of the French Foreign Trade Advisors Committee

On 19th September, The Camara de Comercio e Industria França-Moçambique CCIFM Director Crystelle Coury had the honour of attending the monthly meeting of the French Foreign Trade Advisors Committee in Mozambique, chaired by its President, Bertrand FLEURY DE LA RUELLE.

The session was held aboard the 'CMA CGM Africa Three', an impressive 228-metre container vessel with a gross tonnage of 40,827 tons, which was briefly docked in Maputo before continuing its journey to Beira and onward to Asia (Singapore & Malaysia).

Mozambique, with its 2,700 km coastline, is served by 3 major logistics corridors that connect inland regions and neighbouring countries:

➡️ the Maputo Corridor (SOUTH, serving South Africa and Eswatini)
➡️ the Beira Corridor (CENTRE, serving Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the DRC)
➡️ and the Nacala Corridor (NORTH, serving Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, the DRC and southern Tanzania).

CMA CGM is, as everyone knows, France’s largest shipping company, headquartered in Marseille, and a world leader in container transport & logistics. Operating one of the globe’s largest fleets, the Group serves over 420 ports across 5 continents, and continues to play a key role in global trade through innovation & a strong commitment to sustainability.

On behalf of the CCIFM, we kindly thank Antoine Brunet, Managing Director, Zambezi Cluster (Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi), his team and the CMA CGM Group for this fantastic opportunity that was given to us!
