ENH and Petrobras Sign MoU to Deepen Oil and Gas Partnership

According to an official statement, the signing took place on the sidelines of the Oil and Gas Forum 2026, one of the world's leading events dedicated to the energy sector, which runs from 21 to 24 September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the two companies and provides for the joint conduct of studies covering the exploration, assessment, development, production, and commercialisation of hydrocarbons.

The memorandum also encompasses the sharing of knowledge, competencies, and technical expertise, creating conditions for the development of initiatives in areas of common interest.

For ENH, the document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rudêncio Morais, and by Executive Director Alegria Cossa.

Petrobras was represented by its Director of Exploration and Production, Sylvia Anjos, and by Executive Director of Exploration, Jonilton Pessoa, who formalised the agreement on behalf of the Brazilian company.

The ceremony was attended by Mozambique's Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Estevão Pale, who witnessed the signing and underscored the institutional importance attributed to the initiative.

The partnership comes at a time when Mozambique is seeking to deepen international cooperation in the energy sector and to translate its gas and oil resources into economic and industrial development opportunities.

For ENH, the memorandum reinforces the company's positioning as a strategic partner in the development of the country's energy resources, through collaboration with international operators with proven experience in the hydrocarbons industry.
