ENGIE Energy Access Mozambique, now one of the leaders in Mozambique’s PAYGo
ENGIE Energy Access Mozambique, now one of the leaders in Mozambique’s Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGo) solar industry, hit the milestone of electrifying 100,000 customers – impacting 500,000 Mozambican lives within 3 years of operations in the country.
We announced this major achievement by launching, at the event, our new MySol product offering, a large solar home system with the capacity to power fridges, 42” TVs, and up to 15 lights to provide a better experience and serve more life-changing products to our customers.
The event was attended by local dignitaries, including the Deputy Minister of Energy, Dr. Antonio Saíde, the CEO of ARENE (Energy Regulatory Authority), Dr. Paulo Graça, and the Acting Managing Director of Vodafone M-Pesa, Tawanda Gota (CA), and several other guests. His Excellency Dr. Saíde has once more reinforced the government's intention to support the sector, and the incentives that are coming out in the new regulation to accelerate Access to All ambitions.
ENGIE Energy Access Mozambique has operations in 9 states across the country, 50 Districts, with nearly 800 Community agents who deliver the product in the last mile.
Our celebration is incomplete if we do not recognize and value all our customers and partners who have been with us on this journey to bring life-changing solar energy products to the Mozambican population. A special word of appreciation to Vodacom Moçambique (M-Pesa), SVN (BRILHO program) and GIZ (FASER program).
I'd like to THANK the entire EEA Moz team that has been amazing in helping us get here and deliver an excellent experience to our customers every day.
Congratulations...
