Chapateca and CCIFM Partner to Launch FRANCOTECA, Promoting Reading, Culture and French Language Learning in Mozambique
A proud milestone for the Camara de Comercio e Industria França-Moçambique CCIFM: the launch of the #FRANCOTECA and its Txopteca mobile library!
We officially inaugurated the FRANCOTECA project, the very first CSR initiative ever undertaken by the French Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique.
Born from a partnership between the CCIFM, Chapateca, Ambassade de France au Mozambique et en Eswatini & Epsilon Energia Solar, our institutional partners CCFM - Centro Cultural Franco-Mocambicano & Lycée Français International Gustave Eiffel, and several member companies of the Chamber , this project reflects our shared belief that education, culture & language can open doors and create opportunities.
The Txopteca is much more than an electric-powered mobile library. Under the vision of Chapateca's director Constance Fleury de la Ruelle, it carries books, ideas, imagination & opportunities. As it begins its journey through schools & communities in Maputo, it will promote reading, support French language learning and bring the Francophone world closer to Mozambican youth.
For the CCIFM, this project represents an important first step in our commitment to giving back to the communities in which our members operate. While our mission remains to strengthen economic ties between France & Mozambique, we also believe that businesses can play a meaningful role in supporting education and youth development.
