Strengthening Port and Logistics Expertise Between Mozambique and La Réunion
Since 2021, Camara de Comercio e Industria França-Moçambique CCIFM has proudly supported a regional cooperation programme between Mozambique and LaRéunion aimed at strengthening port & logistics expertise across the Indian Ocean region. At the heart of this initiative is Grand Port Maritime De La Réunion, the key driver of collaboration, capacity building and knowledge exchange between the two territories.
A total of #25 professionals completed a week of intensive training in:
🔷 Basic Fire Fighting
🔷 Elementary First Aid
🔷 International Health & Safety (HSE)
🔷 Working at Heights... and more.
In Pemba (week of 18 May), 9 participants from AMT S.A., Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) & CFM Logistics completed the programme. In Matola (week of 1 June), a further 16 participants from CFM, CFM Logistics and ITRANSMAR took part.
The sessions were delivered at Ascending's PTC (Pemba) and MATC (Matola) training academies, which are among the leading training centres of their kind in Mozambique.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the European Union, through the InterregVIIndianOcean Programme, and the Région Réunion. CCIFM remains fully committed to developing high-impact cooperation projects that foster regional integration, skills development & sustainable economic growth.
