Construction of Alpha Palma Village

History

With more than 60 years of operations, Alpha Group through its various subsidiaries has achieved remarkable growth in the areas of high-end Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Fresh Fish and Seafood Exports. With over 6000 employees and 300 local and international clients, the Group has carved a niche for itself with operations in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, D R Congo, Somalia and Mozambique.

Operations

Alpha Group’s has been operating in Mozambique since 2012 through Alpha Choice Mozambique, LDA (ACM) and has its Head Office in Pemba as well as other branches in Maputo and Palma.

From a commodity retailer and marine contractor working with some of the biggest names in the Energy sector like Anadarko Petroleum Corp when starting out, today the Group creates new horizons for its clients with ACM currently offering end-to-end supply chain solutions, mechanical and civil engineering services, ship chandelling, asset rental solutions as well as project logistical support.

With Beef farms in Northern Kenya to Prawn farms in Mafia Island, Tanzania, the Group has vast experience in delivering essential life support services under extreme conditions in some of East Africa’s remotest locations. This has seen it provide a highly valued ‘home away from home’ experience to workforce teams in the oil and gas, energy, mining and construction industries by nourishing and delighting them with international cuisines, offering of various accommodation options ranging from standard to those with a higher level of amenities.

Alpha Village – Palma, Mozambique

Alpha Group has begun the construction of a 400pax camp, Known as Alpha Village in the Gas City of Palma.

Set across eight (8) acres, the modern mixed-use development has been thoughtfully designed to offer its residents a spacious, welcoming appeal with abundant open communal areas and recreational facilities that can be enjoyed by all ages, making the development ideal for travelling professionals.

Its strategic geographic location positions the camp well to meet Total’s Mozambique LNG Workforce as well as tap into the growing remote site catering and housing demands in the North of Mozambique.

Designed and Built by Southern Engineering Company Mozambique, LDA it will be operated by Alpha choice Mozambique, LDA, the facilities and amenities include:

• Offices and Conference Facilities

• A Fine Dining Restaurant and Bar

• Gym and Recreation Field

• Accommodation units

• Warehousing and Cold Storage

In the medium-to-long term, the Alpha Village Camp Project is foundational for diversifying Mozambique’s social and economic activities. The project will:

• Generate revenue that will contribute to the development of the country
• Create complementary employment opportunities for members of the local community via Skills transfer
• Create opportunities for professional training and contracts for the supply of goods and services for locals
