Dear Members,
September was a month rich in connections and opportunities for CCIFM, highlighting both the dynamism of our members and Mozambique’s growing role in global trade and energy.
On September 12, Crystelle had the honour of joining the monthly meeting of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (Conseillers du Commerce Exterieur de la France, CCEF) committee in Mozambique. The session was hosted on board the CMA CGM Africa Three, a 228-metre container vessel that was stationed in Maputo before continuing its journey to Beira and Asia. This unique setting served as a strong reminder of Mozambique’s strategic positioning, with its 3 logistics corridors linking the country to the region and beyond. Our sincere thanks to the CMA CGM Group for their warm welcome!
On September 22–23, CCIFM proudly hosted a pavilion at the 10th Mozambique Gas & Energy Summit & Exhibition (MGES), bringing together member companies: Atis Nebest, Bureau Veritas, Servtec SBM, SPIE Global Services Energy, and Sturrock Grindrod Maritime (SGM). We thank all of you for your support in making this pavilion a reality. The event also highlighted the excellence of French companies, with Technip Energies, Mozambique LNG Pamoja Tunaweza & Mphanda Nkuwa Dam (EDF- TotalEnergies) winning awards! Bravo to you all.
To close the month, on September 24, a group of members had the privilege of visiting Vodacom’s new Business Data Centre in Matola. Officially inaugurated in March 2025, this Tier 3 certified facility is a cornerstone of Vodacom’s Digital Nation Builder vision — combining security, efficiency, and resilience to strengthen Mozambique’s digital ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the CCIFM continues to advance several key initiatives:
*** Ongoing training collaboration with the Port of Réunion, a project supported by the Ministry of Transport & Logistics of Mozambique and CFM.
*** Preparation for the visit of a delegation of EVOLEN (The French Energy Association) in Maputo (week of November 24).
*** Work on the Chamber’s finances (2024 closing results & audit, as well as 2026 budget), to be presented at a General Assembly we will be organizing in December.
*** Engagement last week with the newly elected team at CTA in view of the upcoming Annual Private Sector Conference (CASP), scheduled for November 12–13 in Maputo.
Looking Ahead: Save the Date ? November 17–18 – Ambition Africa (Paris, France) Organised by Business France, under the auspices of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial & Digital Sovereignty, and the Ministry for Europe & Foreign Affairs. ➡️ Fee: EUR 450 (excl.
